Building Waldbrunn Station (Part 1)

Materials used

  • Ammo Mig Railcenter acrylics
  • Ammo Mig enamel washes
  • Titans Hobby Rust Base Matt Primer TTH113

Last summer, I started building Waldbrunn Station. It’s a Faller kit that I think fits the project perfectly. A fictional station, mind you.

I started by priming the walls and other parts, then colored the bricks in reddish-brown. The window frames in an off-white color.

After coloring the bricks individually in various shades of red, I started grouting. I used joint paste for this.

Once it was dry, I weathered the walls and bricks using various washes and powders. I think this is a nice representation of a German station from the late ’60s and ’70s.

The next step will be the roofs and the interior… first, I need to decide on the right color.
